Xuhanting Granules if developed with modern preparation technology and special technique, by Qixing Company in cooperation with several medical colleges on the basis of modified famous Oyster Powder formula in Song Dynasty. Spontaneous and night sweating are the symptoms caused by abnormal sweating due to imbalance of yin an yang and the unsteadiness at the side where the skin and muscles are joined.

Spontaneous and night sweating are the common symptoms and sings encountered in departments of internal medicine and that of pediatrics, especially in asthenia-syndrome, which is called cold sweat in TCM. It occurs alone or accompanied by many other diseases. If sweating is too heavily or spontaneous and night sweating last too long, the essence and vital energy are always depleted or harmed and accompanied by the symptoms due to imbalance of yin and yang, such as languidness, pale complexion, asthenia, anorexia, insomnia, which lead to lost of trace elements in children, electrolyte disturbance and hypoevolutism.

Xuhanting Granules is indicated for the treatment of both spontaneous sweating due to deficiency of vital energy and night sweating due to deficiency of yin. It is an effective preparation from empirical prescription used for many years in the treatment of spontaneous and night sweating:
Clinical Characters:
1、The total effective rate for deficiency of vital energy in lung, spleen and both in children is 95.8%, 92.3%and 97.1%, respectively; for deficiency of vital energy of yin, yang and both in adults is 98%, 91.7%and 94.7%, respectively.
2、For children's paleness on the face, asthenia, anorexia and insomnia, the total effective rate is 88.3%, 95.1%, 96.3%and 92.2%, respectively.
3、It is indicated for the treatment of general debility, unsteadiness of sweating regulating mechanism, heavy sweating and night sweating due to long-term administration of antibiotics or some diseases in children; heavy sweating and night sweating due to general debility, radiotherapy and chemotherapy against neoplasm in adults, post-partum and some other diseases such as tuberculosis, rheumatism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, hypoglycemia and certain diseases of nervous system.

Astragalus root, Light Wheat, root of Glutinous Rice, calcined Oyster shell, etc.

Function and Indications:
Benefiting vital energy and nourishing yin, consolidating superficial resistance and arresting sweating. Indicated for spontaneous sweating and night sweating resulting from all kinds of asthenia-syndromes or sudden asthenia caused by onset of a new disease.

Dosage and Administration:
Taking with boiled water, 1bag each time, 3 times daily for adults. Half a bag for children: 3 times daily for those beyond 4years old, and twice daily for those under 4 years old.
